ABOUT

The question is why use Elliot Consulting Ltd., a new practice owned and operated by myself. The firm is not a large established practice, with a corporate identity. For the last 22 years I worked at Gardiner and Theobald LLP and was a Partner for 13 years. I am obviously good at what I do and very experienced, but then again, so are lots of professionals.
So why Elliot Consulting, in 30 seconds or less...
After nearly 40 years in the construction industry I am more passionate than ever about being the best, producing the best and getting the best out of the team in the widest sense, including the Client and the contractor, and that is true in whatever role I take on. Extensive professional knowledge is a given and expected. The tools for achieving the best outcome are negotiation and persuasion. It is so important to respect the views and expertise of the other players. Another tool is humour, useful in so many ways, possibly defusing tense situations and it makes the working day fun. These tools must be used strategically and adapted to the situation. It is all about getting the best out of people. It is my reason for getting up in morning.
Contributing and influencing the design and build process is the best game I know. It is a challenge and certainly not easy, and the stakes are high. I care that the Client gets what they want. It is a matter of personal pride, and good for repeat business.
